Recently, the Everun Group Ltd donated a wind turbine blade to Greenpeace UK as part of their Just Transition Tour with the aim to secure offshore workers easy access to sustainable green jobs in renewable energy.

Greenpeace UK joined Friends of the Earth and Platform to support the transition from oil and gas to renewable energy by taking a 13 metre wind turbine blade around Scottish cities, where people were invited to #SignTheBlade in support of the workers and the transition from oil and gas to renewable energy.   The tour has since then gained another 2,215 signatures on their petition since the last update – making the total petition signatures 14,215.

Everun are pleased to not only support the campaign but to see our donated wind turbine blade go on tour with the Rainbow Warrior ship for the last couple of weeks.  The recycled blade has been to Aberdeen, visited Beatrice Windfarm, Sunderland and the event with the blade will finish up in Leith. You can watch the recording of the event in Aberdeen here

The campaigners are urging the Scottish Government ministers to engage directly with workers, remove hurdles to retraining and to act by introducing a proper specialist fund for energy workers.

With Everun operating in the renewable energy industry with our services in onshore Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Asset Management services, and our recent launch into Electric Vehicle Charging solutions for homes and businesses throughout Northern Ireland, we are pleased to see our blade contributing to the success of the Just Transition Tour and once again wish to extend our support and well wishes to those involved in the campaign.
