This year, more than most, poverty is a real issue for people here in Northern Ireland and food banks have seen a massive increase in those needing help. The North Belfast Food Bank set up its scaled up operation for it’s Christmas 2020 Appeal in the SSE Arena in Belfast and are distributing food hampers and gifts to those in need in the Greater Belfast area.
Our Engineers Chris and Kenny took to the roads last week and helped deliver 400 hampers to the families most in need and we were delighted to be able to both make a donation and help distribute the packs. Our staff donated the money we would have spent on our Christmas Party this year in the hope that Christmas will be a bit brighter for those who really are in need.
